All notable changes to the Rust readsight crate are documented here.

  • Documentation release. Rewrote the README.md so every value is reproduced from running the crate: the plain/legalese readability grid, per-language formula counts, syllable-mode distribution, and the language list are all taken from actual output rather than copied prose.
  • Reworked examples/demo.rs into a dashboard that prints the side-by-side readability grid plus syllable breakdowns and text statistics.
  • Wired the README.md code samples into the doc-test suite via #[cfg(doctest)], so the documented examples are compiled and executed by cargo test. No library code changes.

  • Housekeeping release: removed the local temp/ scratch area (PHP/Python reference clones and the golden generator) from the working tree. It was never part of the published crate or the Git repository. No library code changes.

  • Initial release: byte-accurate Rust port of the canonical PHP ReadSight library (secondary reference: the Python port ReadSightPy).
  • 86 languages, 17 readability formulas.
  • TeX (Frank M. Liang) hyphenation with embedded hyph-utf8 pattern files.
  • tex, heuristic (with cluster/individual vowelMode), and composite syllable modes.
  • Embedded data by default; optional filesystem data source.
  • Output parity verified against golden vectors generated from the PHP reference; 100% line/function test coverage.
