Question regarding styles

Hello Wonderful people,

Map newbie here - I am currently experimenting with protomaps and was able to set up a server and render the map in mobile app (using flutter-maplibre-gl and go-pmtiles). I used the light theme - Was able to generate the layers from the instructions from here. Can someone please point me to appropriate document that describes on how to add custom themes ? I see that there is a link in the doc section that talks about basemap styles here but is under construction.

There isn't any reference other than the source code at https://github.com/protomaps/basemaps/tree/main/styles/src right now.

Thanks much - I did see this as well - I think the best way for me now is to experiment with the styles based on the one in the theme.ts file.

Question about Using Protomaps Styles JSON Without API Key

Hi, I found the available Protomaps styles, and I downloaded the style.json files from this link. However, I can't find a URL where these JSON files are hosted for direct use in Maplibre or Maputnik. In Maputnik, there's a template that uses https://api.protomaps.com/tiles/v4/{z}/{x}/{y}.mvt?key=d828297496b11844, which requires an API key.

Is there a way to access and use the style files directly without needing an API key?

To use Maputnik I recommend saving the style JSON to your local computer and then opening it as a file.
