I maintain H5P-Nodejs-library, the Node.js implementation of H5P — the framework behind interactive learning content (quizzes, interactive video, presentations) used across the education sector. If you're running H5P on Node instead of PHP, you're almost certainly running my code: the core package alone is downloaded around 20,000 times a month, and several high-volume platforms depend on it in production.

I wrote most of H5P-Nodejs-library and co-founded Lumi, the H5P desktop editor, in 2019. I've since left the company and now maintain the library independently, in my own time, next to a full-time job. Sponsorship here funds that work directly.

All of this happens in my free time, next to a full-time job. That's the part worth being direct about: the number of organizations depending on this library keeps growing, but the evenings available to review PRs, patch dependency vulnerabilities and keep up with the Node ecosystem don't grow with it. Sponsorship is what turns maintenance from something squeezed into leftover time into something I can actually schedule — and it's the only thing that scales with real-world usage instead of goodwill.
