Getting error while running command "vibe start backend"

I’ve recently set up Vibe locally using the provided setup script. However, while trying to build the backend service, I encountered the following error:

Could you please let me know if there’s anything I might be missing that would help resolve this issue?

Hi @pulkitgoel, this is error message is coming due to absence of MongoDB URL in backend/.env, if you are testing you can add your own MongoDB Atlas URL or run vibe setup it should ask for password of db leave it empty for now, if for some reason it doesnt ask then you may clear .vibe.json file in root dir and then run vibe setup

No, .env folder doesn't exists in backend folder.

 echo DB_URL="mongodb+srv://Vibe:@vibe-test.jt5wz7s.mongodb.net/?retryWrites=true&w=majority&appName=vibe-test" > backend/.env

run this in root dir if you are using linux/wsl it will add a placeholder url which you can change later

Thanks @AgamW017 both the frontend and backend are now building successfully. I had a quick question: do I need to create a fresh schema in my own MongoDB instance? I’m currently unable to log in through the login screen.

Actually authentication is done via firebase.

Just wanted to clarify a couple of points:

Do I need to set up the Firebase emulator locally to get the login functionality working?

Also, is it necessary to initialize MongoDB using the schema referenced in this issue: #243?

Apologies if these are basic questions — I’m trying to understand the current state of the project (what’s functional and what’s still pending) so I can align myself and contribute effectively.
