I think I'll be moving away from this project, watching lately became unusable

I really liked using my nVidia Shield Pro for watching youtube vids. This app has hit the spot for many years. It was a great and issue free experience for years.

But lately it is simply unusable. Videos don't load, if loads, get stuck every so many seconds.

I'll be buying N100 or so computer, installing ubuntu with gui, chrome (with extensions like ublock and sponsorblock), and some automation logic, connected with HDMI to my TV. I'll use my own laptop to navigate youtube locally and then use like violent monkey extension to add to youtube custom scripts, like ALT+click on a video to send to the ubuntu computer a command to play the video. Might add some bluetooth media remote to the ubuntu computer to control play/pause, scroll, volume..

Yeah, it is not going to be as useful, but what can you do. One adapts.
