📖 Overview

AutoPWN Environment (APE) is a lightweight Linux-based security testing workspace designed to operate entirely in RAM. It provides a temporary environment for running tools, performing assessments, and automatically cleaning up artifacts when the session ends.

🚀 Quick Start

1. Launch APE

./ape.sh

2. Download Tools

getbin nmap
getbin ffuf

3. Scan a Target

fastscan 192.168.1.1
webscan example.com

4. Run Privilege Escalation Checks

linpeas

5. Monitor Processes

pspy

6. Start a Listener

nclisten 4444

7. Exit and Clean Up

📂 Workspace Design

All operations occur within a temporary RAM-based directory:

/dev/shm/.ape_<username>_<PID>

🧹 Cleanup Process

Upon exiting, APE automatically performs cleanup actions:

  • ✅ Deletes workspace directory
  • ✅ Removes downloaded binaries
  • ✅ Clears shell history
  • ✅ Unsets sensitive environment variables
  • ✅ Removes temporary files
