ESS-MAI architecture: GCL authority root above bounded Light, Quantum, and Shadow roles

POC build and tests DOI License: Apache-2.0 Software Heritage

I am Bledar Gjata, author and systems architect of ESS-MAI at Gjata Legacy. I work on Rust systems engineering, reproducible research software, runtime verification, governed AI systems, negative knowledge, and fail-closed behavior.

Research focus

  • Gjata Collapse Law (GCL): the project-defined constitutional model that delegates and bounds subordinate system roles.
  • Negative knowledge: failures, exclusions, and rejected paths preserved as operational evidence.
  • Light–Quantum–Shadow: named ESS-MAI roles for coordination, reasoning, and verdict/persistence under GCL; “Quantum” does not claim quantum hardware or quantum computation.
  • Traceable deterministic reasoning: explicit transitions, evidence-bound handoffs, and fail-closed gates.
  • Executable prior art: reproducible POCs that publish experimental success and failure together.

Evidence boundary

ESS-MAI is an active experimental research prototype, not a production system, security certification, independent scientific validation, or patent-office novelty determination. A separate private ESS-MAI v1.8.9 workspace is outside this disclosure. The public workflow verifies disclosed-source identity, Cargo build, and tests; run counts below come from the deposited evidence and are not presented as independent replication.

Published validation record

POC Maintainer-verified result
POC 003 v0.2.0 Cargo build PASS; 84/84 tests; empty cold-start gap reproduced 3/3; exact-pair causal control passed 1/1
POC 004 v0.2.0 Cargo build PASS; 19/19 tests; supported local behavior and counterexamples reproduced 5/5

The sealed collection manifest preserves its historical pre-tag release-candidate state. Publication status is established by the immutable GitHub Release and Zenodo record above; the sealed POC bytes are not rewritten after publication.

Open to independent reproduction, Rust review, formal-methods collaboration, and evidence-bound counterexamples.
