Knob positions, colors, and their associated mode when powering up in that position:
- Normal, Red
- Normal, Red
- Normal, Amber
- Rainbow, Amber
- Chase Game, Green
Flashing should always been done in position 5. To save battery, the loop only runs every 100ms, and there is a light sleep state the device will enter if it's in positions 1-4 (otherwise it just delays). In most modes, the LEDs are also PWM-driven at 1/8 duty.
LEDs are lit up to the position of the knob.
The lights move a ping-pong sequence, but the selected light blinks. This mode is more battery intensive, as the normal PWM isn't in effect.
Lights up a position on the opposite side, and when the knob is turned to that position, a new position is generated.
Due to the power-saving of running light sleep every 100ms, power is mainly consumed by the LEDs, which are roughly 2 mA a piece. With the included 3.7V Li-ion 120mAh battery, that may be enough to last 12-60 hours depending on the mode/knob position. The battery can be charged via the ESP32S3's USB port, and the main switch needs to be on (this is what connects the battery). Be careful not to overcharge the battery - I don't know the details of the ESP32S3's charge controller.
